We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. These rights are all interrelated, interdependent and indivisible.
Universal human rights are often expressed and guaranteed by law, in the forms of treaties, customary international law , general principles and other sources of international law. International human rights law lays down obligations of Governments to act in certain ways or to refrain from certain acts, in order to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms of individuals or groups.
The Regional Human Rights Commission (RHRC) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) in the Philippines is a statutory agency created under Section 16 of Republic Act 9054 (2001) and operationalized by the ARMM Human Rights Commission Charter of 2012 (Muslim Mindanao Act 288). It is mandated to perform within the autonomous region, the functions of the Commission on Human Rights of the central government.Decisions of the Commission may be appealed to the Court of Appeals on questions of law.
